Spring 2024 Biological Sciences Poster Night

Research by members of the KLab took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the research category for the biological poster night in Spring 2024! Vicente, Angie, and Reagan took 1st place for their work identifying a novel species of whiptail lizard in Southern Utah (whose native distribution is in New Mexico). William took 2nd place for his research simulating the effects of mitonuclear evolution on fitness in scenarios with different reproductive modes. And Alex, David, and Syrus took 3rd place for their research on the genomic conservation of barrel assembly machinery in microbes. Seun, Baylee, Syrus, David, Reagan, and Alex also presented their research projects from the Advanced Bioinformatics class. Great job, everyone!
